Volunteer Application Process

We are accepting new submissions for the MRI Participant Liaison program volunteer application for the Fall 2025 semester!

Volunteer Application Form

Fill out the Volunteer Application Form to apply for this volunteer position. Please complete it honestly and to the best of your abilities. Provide detailed information about your experience, interests, and availability, as well as any relevant skills or qualifications. We will get back to you in 2-4 weeks about whether or not we will be offering you an interview for this program.

Online Interview

If selected for an interview, please be prepared to participate in a 30-minute conversation where we’ll ask you a series of questions to better understand your motivation, communication style, and readiness for a research environment.

The interview will include four key questions (prepare approximately 5–6 minutes per question) and 10 minutes for any of your questions. We recommend reflecting on any relevant personal, academic, or volunteer experiences in advance. We’re looking for thoughtful, honest answers that show who you are and why you’re a good fit.

Questions used in the Interveiw:

  1. “What motivated you to apply for this MRI volunteer position, and how does it align with your future goals in healthcare?”
  2. “How would you handle a situation where a participant is visibly anxious or confused before their MRI scan?”
  3. “This role requires a lot of behind-the-scenes support — like escorting participants, reviewing safety forms, and staying organized. Can you share a time when you had to manage responsibilities that weren’t in the spotlight, but still critical?”
  4. “You may have the opportunity to shadow MRI technologists. What are you hoping to learn or observe during those moments, and how will you make the most of them?”

We will inform you 1-2 weeks post-interview whether we are interested in offering you a position on our volunteering team!
